Panama City Fishing Charters: Frequently Asked Questions & Trip Information What is the difference between an offshore fishing charter and deep sea fishing in Panama City?Offshore fishing generally refers to traveling beyond the nearshore waters into the Gulf of Mexico. Our deep sea fishing trips take you further out to target larger game fish, including Red Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack, whereas nearshore trips may stay closer to the coast depending on the season and target species. Are Florida fishing licenses included with your Panama City fishing charters?Yes. When you book a private fishing charter with Reel Steel Charters LLC, all necessary Florida saltwater fishing licenses are included for all passengers on board. You do not need to purchase an individual license. What should I bring on my Panama City fishing trip?We provide all professional-grade rods, reels, tackle, and bait. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, non-slip footwear, any snacks or drinks you prefer (in a soft-sided cooler), and a camera to capture your catch. Are your PCB fishing charters suitable for beginners and families?Absolutely. We specialize in family-friendly fishing trips in Panama City Beach. Our crew is experienced in assisting anglers of all skill levels, from children to adults, ensuring everyone has a safe and successful day on the water. What species of fish can I expect to catch on a Panama City offshore charter?Depending on the season and the duration of your trip, you can catch a variety of Gulf of Mexico species. Common targets include Red Snapper, Gag and Red Grouper, Greater Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, and various shark species, such as Bull and Blacktip sharks. Do you offer private fishing charters in Panama City Beach for groups?Yes, all our fishing trips are private. This means you and your group have the boat and the Captain’s undivided attention for the duration of the trip, allowing for a personalized fishing experience tailored to your group’s goals. What happens to my booking if the weather in Panama City is bad?The safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority. If the Captain determines that weather conditions in the Gulf of Mexico are unsafe, we will offer to reschedule your trip for another date. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund. How do I choose the right fishing charter rate for my group? We offer a variety of options, from half-day trips to full-day deep sea fishing charters. If you are looking for specific target species like Red Snapper or are interested in shark fishing, we recommend longer trips to allow for more travel time to the best fishing grounds. Feel free to contact us to discuss your goals so we can recommend the perfect charter for your group.
